From the CEO’s desk: The story behind a record-setting summer

One of the things I love most about hospitality is that while the headlines often talk about travel, major events and hotel performance, the real story is always about people.

This summer, the FIFA World Cup has brought an incredible level of excitement and energy to our industry. Hotels across the country are welcoming guests from around the world, many of whom are experiencing the United States for the very first time. It is a remarkable moment for hospitality and one that showcases the very best of what our industry has to offer.

Behind every memorable guest experience is a hospitality professional who made someone feel welcome, solved a problem or stepped in when it mattered most. Whether you are leading a hotel through a transition, supporting the front desk, overseeing housekeeping, managing food and beverage or serving in an executive leadership role, you are helping create experiences that guests will remember long after they return home.

That is why the work you are doing this summer matters.
